And yeah I think your right, the eyes are a little off.

do volumes just from shading, not with lines
also, a lot of work is needed at shading

I agree that no outlines look better (when done by someone who knows how).. its hard though especially with charcoal.. when your working with paint you paint over your sketch lines.. thats much easier(imo)..
